Welding has been a hobby and passion of mine for several years now. In high school I was able to work on many projects, and even gained some basic certifications through the American Welding Society. I have also worked in several weld shops helping fabricate everything from oil field parts, to decorative signs. Each of these experiences taught me a great deal about welding and manufacturing.
Aluminum Livestock Truck Box
As a part of the Dumas High School welding program I was able to work on several projects which were entered into ag mechanics competitions. Below are a few pictures of an aluminum livestock box that won reserve grand champion at the 2016 San Antonio Livestock and Ag Mechanics Show. The box was fabricated primarily with GTAW.
While working with the Dumas ISD maintenance department I was able to complete several welding projects, one of which was a pair of metal awnings outside one of the elementary schools. These awnings were built using SMAW.
